X-Play's Mr Sark announces Sarkathlon 3!

"Fire up your Xboxes Halo nerds, it's time for Sarkathlon 3!

That's right, X-Play's own gaming pro Mr Sark has thrown down the gauntlet. Are you up for the challenge? If you think you have the cunning skills and gritty determination it'll take to tackle his special designed Halo 3 obstacle course, then you should watch the video below to find out how to get in the game.

He'll explain it all, but here's the short version: Mr Sark has lovingly built a course that will blow your mind in the sky above Sandbox (so you'll need to download the Mythic Map Pack if you haven't already). You go to Bungie.net, download the goods and then use your amazing Halo skillz to figure out Sark's mad genius. Once you've captured your fastest time, add the file to your share and email the link to mrsark@g4tv.com.

I know you're wondering: besides the eternal glory and bragging rights that come along with being the Sarkathlon 3 champion, what else can I win? A bangin' Game of the Year Xbox 360 Bundle, that's what! So hurry, because Sarkathlon 3 ends at midnight on May 10th.

I played this map for a good few hours last night and I can say, it's pretty straight forward, but still very challenging. The objective of the map is to find and pick up all 8 grenades, 2 of each type, then have the fastest time crossing the finish line. That's it. Seem too simple? It's very simple, but don't be decieved, while picking up grenades might seem simple, it's getting to the grenades that's not.

You'll need the Mythic map pack DLC to compete in this contest, since the obstacle course is on Sandbox. Also, the contest rules say that only people in the US can win, but Mr Sark himself has confirmed that it does not matter where in the world you live, if you get the fastest time, you will get your 360, period. The contest is, however, limited to participants 18+ years or 13+ years with parent permission.

Lets work on this H2F!

Hmm.. So I have found all of the grenades but one plasma... I have both frags, or three rather, both spikers, both firebombs, and the plasma on the column before the teleporter... where is the other? I think I could finish it if I can find the last one.

I know where all but one of the spikes is at, well, I know where it is, I just haven't gotten it yet. If you're still on I'm getting on right now, but you probably won't be.

Nope lol. I'll show you how to get them. they are both actually quite easy to get... I just don't get how to get one of the firebombs...

Ok, I know how to get all grenades now...it's just actually getting them. Those stupid frags...one of them will not always fall down for me. The second fire nade s quite easy, just use the custom powerup.

I know what you mean about the frag... a tip... you have to shoot it so it blows up right in the middle of the hole. and if that doesn't work... climb up the back like you are getting the firebomb but drop into the hole to get the frag... wastes a bit of time but oh well... worth it for the grenade... my only problem will be the custom powerup part.... am I just supposed to grab it then Jump all the way to that one then to the other firebomb spot?????

But the point is to get the fastest time...

And yeah, for the second firebomb just grab the custom powerup, it makes you jump farther, then jump to the U shaped piece, then to the platform where the grenade is at. Then grab the other custom powerup and jump back.

Yeah really... my only problem is I keep dieing getting onto the big tube and jumping to the first firebomb... hah. and I have yet to make that jump... besides that I think I get how to do it... now to just do it together!
